BEAUTY is a series of screenprints on craft paper.

This series explores the idea of beauty. Pursuing beauty, using a portrait of a Barbie doll, and image is created using different widths of the symbol X. The X is a symbol for a wall, a barrier. Skin is a barrier that contains our pain, and separates us from each other. By using the same image there is a surface connection and tension. The image is repeated which devalues the image itself. Does beauty go beyond the surface? Can beauty be found in mass production?

These are an unlimited edition, meant to be created and reused upon demand.
